Sara Arabzadeh is a California-born Iranian and Irish multidisciplinary artist based in London.
She studied at New York University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture, and Communication. She discovered the catharsis of painting her freshman year when she created ink paintings on her dorm room floor.
As a child, she crafted a fictional newspaper. It was a parody, and she sold them to her family for a dime. Presently, her intact childlike sensibilties with art-making lend to an integrous rendering of complex emotions that sit within a feminist socio-cultural scope.
Her ritualistic writing of poems serves as the foundation for her own understanding of her art and the world-building of interwoven fantasy and memory that permeates all her work.
